Healing, Growing, & Experimenting in Community

The Wealth Reclamation Academy of Practitioners (WRAP) is a fast growing community of practice organized by and for Resource Mobilizers. Our practice challenges the traditional ideas of philanthropy that have recruited and professionalized most of us as fundraisers, situated many of us as donors, and charged all of us with becoming ever more savvy at asking for money and scavenging for dollars.

As Resource Mobilizers, we are the individuals in our communities who specialize in cultivating relationship networks and stewarding the flow of social and material wealth back into social justice movement and community-building. Together, we are working to define the emerging field of wealth reclamation, an approach to resourcing our movements that is in better alignment with our intersectional vision for justice and equity than today’s practices of nonprofit fundraising.

Always, and especially in these transformative times, we are firmly grounded in unwavering solidarity with the U.S. Movement For Black Lives and related global actions in support of justice and equity for Black, Indigenous, and people of color around the world.

We’re happy you found us and we’re honored to be in community with you.

Practicing in Community

I’ve gained so much from WRAP. I know it has helped me grow as someone trying to channel resources towards a specific movement. It’s been humbling and inspiring to connect with other folks and to work on our practice together. I’ve appreciated so much how you all curate the space with love and intention.
