Tool No. 4 Online Series | Fall '23 & Winter '24

a bi-weekly drop-in series to nurture our growth and development as practitioners

WRAP is excited to offer this FREE drop-in series on Tool No. 4!

Tool No. 4 calibrates the Just Transition framework to Amaranth, a plant ally and a source of inherited ancestral wealth. An ancient plant•cestor, the lessons we learn by tracing Amaranth’s history, lineage, and roots of resilience help us to understand philanthropy as a tool of extractive capitalism.

Through the lens of Tool No. 4, we'll look together at the history of philanthropy, evolution of charity, and development of fundraising; we'll be joined by seasoned resource mobilizers who will help us to better understand the foundation of our movement including Solidarity Economy, Democratic Governance, Collective Resourcing, and more; and we will explore what Wealth Reclamation means in theory, practice, and personally for each of us as resource mobilizers.

Please note: The course will run every other week from Thursday, November 2, through Thursday, December 14, taking a break for the winter holidays and resuming on Thursday, January 11 through Thursday, March 7. You may drop into sessions as you like.

  • Understanding the Just Transition framework as a powerful tool to nurture, anchor, and connect our own Resource Mobilizer stories in a broader movement-building context, and

  • Understanding what it means to activate our communities, comrades, and available resources for resource mobilization.
